This month we are sharing our latest farmhouse renovation project. It was an exciting project for us because we were able to open up the closed in space to create a kitchen with style and function!

For this project we chose a two tone cabinet design. The bases are chalke green by Farrow & Ball and the wall cabinets are a linen color specific to our manufacturer. We opted for a granite countertop that looks similar to soapstone and a creamy taupe subway tile for the backsplash.

The existing space was narrow and closed in. We removed several walls to open the space and reconfigured the powder room to add more storage. We added a small office space, built-in pantry storage, and a gas fireplace.

We chose a table instead of an island so the family of six can share meals together in their new kitchen. The glass chandelier adds an interesting focal point within the space and gives off a ton of light.

Brick veneers were used to make the new fireplace look like a chimney that was uncovered in the old home. Slate was used for the hearth.

The sink window location was maintained and two new windows were added near the cooking wall for additional natural light.

Rustic wood shelves and brackets are a perfect place to store beautiful and functional accessories. The leathered finish on the countertop adds texture to the space.
